Traveling Ed Teja is a writer of poetry, fiction, and songs. A lifelong traveler, his stories and poems are about the places he knows, places that lie in the margins of the world, and the amazing, sometimes crazy, people he meets as he travels between the cracks.
Freelance Writer and Ghostwriter 1/1/1992 — Present
Since 1992 my main effort has been in fiction. During this
time I've been living in Venezuela (1994-2001), Grenada (1992-1994), The
Bahamas (2005) Cambodia (2011-2013), and the United States and much of the work
reflects the places I go. For instance, a recent short story published by
Nomadic Giant, called "Invisible Fortune" takes place in Cartagena,
after a trip there. My novel THE LEGEND OF RON ANEJO came out of ten years
living on a boat in the Caribbean.
I wrote a monthly humor column for CARIBBEAN COMPASS
magazine (Bequia) from 1995 to 2001 that was aimed at the boating community.
I've ghost written cozy mysteries and romance novels for
numerous clients as well as publishing books, short stories, and articles under
my own name. I'm currently writing articles from research I'm doing into
cryptocurrency (for the current novel series) and publishing it on SteemIt and
Medium. I recently placed a piece of literary flash fiction with Ellipsis Zine
(the issue, called THREE, is coming out in July).
And, as a background love I've published poetry in many
small magazines (Japanophile, Whispering Shade, Northwoods Journal, etc.) more
or less continuously over the years.
